Jeff Schmidt

Vice President of Risk Management

Jeff graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance. To further build upon his education and insurance knowledge he pursued his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations.

Jeff started his insurance career at West Bend Mutual Insurance Company as a Multi-line Underwriter and then Aetna as a Multi-line Underwriter & Supervisor. Later Jeff joined TE Brennan, a Milwaukee Risk Management firm, as an Independent Insurance Consultant where he provided advisory services to clients in the healthcare, manufacturing, contracting and public entity sectors.

In 2000 Jeff joined Robertson Ryan & Associates and is responsible for large account coverage reviews, retrospective rating analysis, assisting in tough claim situations, reviewing of contractual requirements and assisting in risk transfer negotiations. Jeff also serves as a liaison for the office with carriers and surplus lines brokers in terms of dealing with new markets and insurance products. He manages the risk management programs for a varying group of commercial clients.

Jeff is an avid soccer fan and continues to play on a weekly basis.
