Service Day

This summer, the Bokeelia office had the opportunity to partner with the Greater Pine Island Alliance for Robertson Ryan’s CommUNITY Service Day.

This organization was founded in Dec 2022, after Hurricane Ian, and is designed to work with the local, state, and federal government & nonprofits to provide information and resources pre and post Hurricane. GPIA is provided grants and works with nonprofits to do the following.

• Reduce duplication of services;
• Maximize efficiencies;
• Connect volunteers and nonprofits providing services with those in need;
• Develop funding sources and provide material support for recovery.

They work with individuals that do not have insurance or the financial resources to repair their homes. Grants provide the money and they connect volunteer contractors with the people that need repairs from new roofs, to drywall, to flooring, etc.

We loved the opportunity to give back and make a difference in the lives of people in this community.
