Vice President of Marketing
Allan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with his degree focus in Organizational Administration. He has professional experience in marketing, human resources, financial services, construction and insurance.
Prior to joining Robertson Ryan he spent nine years in marketing and leadership roles with Jacksonville Florida based Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling, a leader in general contracting and insurance property restoration. Before joining Robertson Ryan he was the Director of Marketing with Paul Davis’ largest North American franchise.
At Robertson Ryan Allan serves on the senior leadership team and oversees various marketing and operational initiatives for a Top 100 US Insurance Agency. He is a licensed agent in the private client space with insureds in Florida, Wisconsin and beyond. While Wisconsin will always hold a special place in his heart, Allan now resides in the greater West Palm Beach Florida area with his family.
Chief Executive Officer
Christopher Illman joined Robertson Ryan & Associates in 2017 as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Most recently Chris served as CEO of OneTouchPoint, a leading marketing communications company headquartered in Hartland, WI. Chris managed all sales, operations, HR, finance and administration for the $150M company operating in five states where he helped double their size in five years.
Previous to this position, Chris was Managing Director of Sales for Gartner eMetrix. He was responsible for worldwide revenue and business development for direct sales, alliances and channels for a software startup venture of publicly held Gartner, Inc. focused on business performance measurement. Chris led the creation of the division’s core offering and built the company’s professional, customer focused and consistently high performing sales organization within Gartner. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Xerox Corporation where he progressively rose through the ranks to become GM, Upper Midwest Operations for Xerox Business Services, responsible for sales, operations, finance and administration of a $200M and 250 employee business.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He resides in Delafield, WI with his wife Cathy and three daughters, Sydney, Madeline, and Sophie.
Personal Lines Manager
LeAnn has been working in the insurance industry since 2002. She spent several years working as a Customer Service Representative in small, independent agencies. She then spent many years working as a Customer Service Lead at Markel before joining the Personal Lines department at Robertson Ryan in 2014.
LeAnn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, fishing, and camping in Baraboo, WI in the summer. She loves to spending time in the kitchen, trying and creating new recipes. She is a big hometown sports fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Admirals and the Green Bay Packers..
Commercial Lines Manager
With over 30 years in the insurance industry, Julie brings a wealth of experience and dedication to Robertson Ryan, where she has worked since 1991. Beginning her career at Milwaukee Insurance as a Personal Lines Underwriting Assistant, Julie joined Robertson Ryan as a Commercial Customer Service Representative, advancing to Trainer in 2016 and later to Commercial Lines Manager in 2019. Her commitment to knowledge-sharing and her passion for learning about insurance and technology have made her an invaluable resource for colleagues and clients alike.
Julie’s approach to customer service is simple yet profound: a friendly gesture, an honest answer, and a commitment to helping others. Outside of work, she serves as the Director of the Racine County Harley Owners Group (HOG) Chapter, supporting safe group riding and raising funds for the children’s medical area of Ascension All Saints Hospital. She also teaches drums at the Girls Rock and Ladies Rock Camps in Milwaukee, combining her love for music with her dedication to empowering others.
Known for her patience, kindness, and wit, Julie dreams of visiting London, England, and enjoys a good game of three-card poker in her spare time.
Chief Operating Officer
Dan graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Finance. He began his insurance career in 2005 as a Commercial Lines Underwriter at West Bend Mutual Insurance Company. In 2011 Dan became the Wisconsin Territory Manager with Liberty Mutual Insurance. In this role he managed agency relationships, appointed and cancelled agency contracts and was active in presentations for both renewals and service. As a believer in making a positive impact, Dan has continuously served on various committees to improve company efficiencies.
In 2014 Dan joined Robertson Ryan & Associates as the Insurance Placement Manger and was responsible for overseeing commercial insurance placement. Dan has always taken on new projects and roles and is eager to help lead positive change and measurable growth at Robertson Ryan. In January of 2019 Dan was promoted to VP of Operations and in July 2021 was once again promoted to Chief Operating Officer. He serves on the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for carrier and agent relations, agency technology and overall firm operations and advancement.
Since 2011 Dan has been actively involved in serving and giving back to the independent agency network through the Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (IIAW). He is on their Board of Directors and is Past Chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee.
Dan resides in Mukwonago, WI with his two children and is very active in their interests. He is a Cub Scout den leader for his son’s pack and coach for his daughter’s soccer team.

Benefits Manager
Amy Reilly, our Benefits Manager, is dedicated to simplifying the complex and ever-evolving world of health insurance. With a focus on breaking down complicated topics, Amy makes it easier for clients to understand their coverage options and make informed decisions. She emphasizes often-overlooked benefits like Critical Illness & Accident coverage, which can be especially valuable for those with high-deductible health plans, helping cover out-of-pocket costs while wellness benefits offset premiums.
Outside of work, Amy’s creativity shines—especially at Halloween, her favorite holiday for its costume flair. She dreams of a trip to Hawaii and considers Disney World her go-to destination.
Chief Financial Officer
Brian joined Robertson Ryan in 2010, bringing with him over 30 years of expertise in finance, tax, and technology. His extensive background spans the retail, wholesale, construction, and manufacturing sectors across both private and public companies. A graduate of UW–Whitewater with a BBA in Accounting, Brian also earned an MS in Taxation from UW–Milwaukee.
An avid athlete, Brian has played sports for much of his life and has coached youth baseball for 13 seasons and football for 3. As a Scout leader, he valued time with his kids and engaging in a range of scouting activities. Brian lives in Franklin with his wife, Denise, and their three children.
Senior Vice President of Customer Service
Christine joined Robertson Ryan in 1995 following her experience at Wisconsin Mutual Insurance Company. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, she holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. As a key member of the management team, Christine leads the personal, benefits, and commercial service teams. In January 2019, she was promoted from Vice President of Benefits & Personal Insurance to Senior Vice President of Service, where she plays an integral role in advancing the company’s strategic initiatives.
Outside of work, Christine is an avid traveler, always planning her next adventure. She enjoys hiking with her dog, discovering new restaurants, and, as a certified yoga instructor and fitness enthusiast, embracing an active lifestyle. Christine and her husband, Joe, reside in Mequon.
Human Resources Manager
Melissa graduated from Cardinal Stritch University with a degree in Business Administration and Management. She has over 20 years of HR experience serving in various leadership roles including expansive experience in payroll/benefits management, HRIS software implementation, streamlining processes and data reporting. Most recently Melissa was VP of Human Resources with a large Milwaukee non-profit. In February 2020 Melissa joined Robertson Ryan as our Human Resources Manager.
Outside of work, Melissa loves to spend time with her husband, David, and their two dogs Arnie and Ace. She enjoys golfing in the warmer months and following the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, Bucks and Marquette Golden Eagles. Her favorite travel destination has been Italy and she hopes to soon visit Fiji.
