Auto Accident

1. Do not place or accept blame for the accident. Only speak with the investigating officer or your insurance agent/company about the facts.
2. Call the police if there is an injury or significant  damage to property or vehicles. The police will rarely come to “fender bender” incidents (less than $1,000 damage).
3. Get information from the other driver:
   • Name
   • Driver’s License Number
   • Address
   • Phone Number
4. Get insurance information on the other vehicle:
   • Named Insured
   • Insurance Carrier
   • Policy Number
   • Agent Phone Number
5. Take appropriate steps to prevent further loss. Have your car taken to a dealership or auto body repair shop. Remember to take personal belongings out of the vehicle.
6. If possible, take pictures before and after moving the vehicle.
7. Contact our office during business hours at 414-271-3575 or call your insurance company after hours.

Property Claim

1. Take all steps to prevent further loss, i.e. call a roofing company to patch your roof, board up broken windows, call a plumber to fix broken pipes, protect undamaged property.
2. If possible, take pictures and document the property damage as soon as possible.
