Curtis Perry
Agent & Vice President
Curtis is a seasoned insurance professional specializing in commercial coverage, particularly for final-mile delivery and trucking. He earned a B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from James Madison University (JMU).
Curtis began his career in sales and, after a pivotal opportunity at a career fair, joined Liberty Mutual in 2005 as a captive insurance agent. Three successful years later, he transitioned to the independent insurance sector, co-founding an agency from the ground up in 2008. In 2023, he sold his ownership to launch his own independent agency, embracing both the rewards and challenges of entrepreneurship. Recognizing the value of strategic partnerships, he joined Robertson Ryan Insurance in 2025 following a client referral.

His entrepreneurial background informs his commercial insurance expertise—especially within the final-mile delivery and trucking industries.
A dedicated leader, Curtis is the Past President of the Richmond Chapter of the JMU Alumni Association (2006–2009) and served on its Board of Directors (2009–2013). Under his leadership, the chapter was named “Chapter of the Year” in 2008.
Active in youth sports, Curtis has coached baseball and basketball. He most recently served as Head Coach for the Junior Varsity Baseball Team at Thomas Dale High School in Chester, VA.
Curtis and his wife, Kyia, live in Chesterfield, VA, with their beloved Rottweiler, Kobe. In their free time, they enjoy traveling, fishing, watching movies, and spending quality time with friends and family.
