Julie Kakuska began her insurance career in 1994 as a Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter with The Hartford Insurance Company. In 2006, she joined Travelers Insurance as an Account Executive Officer, underwriting large commercial accounts in their Brookfield, WI office. In 2017, Julie returned to her hometown of La Crosse to join her brother, Tim Kakuska, at Robertson Ryan Insurance.

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, Julie services a diverse book of business with clients across many industries, including contractors, manufacturers, professional services, and Not-For-Profit organizations. Having spent many years on the insurance company side, she truly enjoys the agency environment, where she can work directly with clients to deliver tailored solutions. Julie draws on more than 30 years of commercial insurance expertise to help businesses protect what matters most.

Julie is also deeply connected to her community and supports numerous local non-profit organizations.

A graduate of La Crosse Aquinas High School, Julie was recruited to the University of Arizona on a volleyball scholarship, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. She later received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and earned her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2004.

Julie and her husband, David, live across the Mississippi River in La Crescent, MN, with their two sons. They enjoy biking Minnesota’s scenic trails, playing Sheepshead, boating on the Mississippi River, and making memories at Disney World.
