Giving From the Heart: Robertson Ryan Champions Community Causes
December 23, 2025

It is the season of giving, and the Robertson Ryan Charitable Foundation has been especially active with meaningful year-end donations to nonprofit organizations that matter deeply to our team. Recently, the Foundation Board awarded several impactful gifts in support of causes championed by our colleagues.

Allan Degner, Krista Hintz, Tracey Fricker
$4,000 – Matthias Academy
On behalf of Krista Hintz, Account Manager, Personal Lines
Matthias Academy is a day and residential program serving adults ages 22 to 99 with disabilities of all types and severities, including complex medical needs and autism. Krista shares, “Matthias is near and dear to my heart. They have the most amazing staff who give each and every adult endless opportunities every day. Students are out in the community learning new things, volunteering, grocery shopping for adult family homes, and so much more.”
$3,000 – SMILES
On behalf of Nicole Covell, Account Manager, Commercial Lines
For 40 years, SMILES, Special Methods in Learning Equine Skills, has improved lives through equine-assisted therapies for individuals with physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities. As a volunteer, Nicole says, “SMILES is a place where purpose and joy come together. Every week when I step into the barn, I see how a calm horse and a steady hand help someone feel stronger and more confident. Watching riders smile through challenges and grow in courage is remarkable.”
$2,500 – Willow Creek Ranch
On behalf of Alyssa Hink, Account Executive, Benefits
Willow Creek Ranch enhances the quality of life for children and adults with special needs through equine-assisted activities and therapies that support physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Alyssa notes, “This program and the people involved are remarkable. They have become like family. Every day they show up ready to help riders build skills in the arena and on the trails. This organization is truly exceptional.”
$2,000 – Sirona Recovery
On behalf of Patti Garceau, Senior Account Manager, Personal Lines
Sirona Recovery serves individuals across Wisconsin seeking support on their recovery journey, including access to treatment, education, prevention, and safe housing. Patti shares, “They always need funding for counseling services, housing facilities for the homeless, and resources for addiction recovery, suicide prevention, clothing, and more. The need is great in Wisconsin and in our local communities.”
$1,500 – Special Olympics Racine
On behalf of Donna Cornelius, Retiree
Special Olympics promotes inclusion through sports, creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities to feel accepted and welcomed. Special Olympics Racine has two athletes selected to compete in the 2026 USA Games in Minnesota. This donation will help offset transportation, lodging, and meal costs as they prepare for this incredible opportunity.
$1,000 – Miracle League of Bradley County
On behalf of Shane Oswalt, Account Executive, Commercial Lines
The Miracle League provides children and adults with physical or intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in organized sports in an inclusive, supportive environment. Shane explains, “This organization creates a place where participants are not only included but celebrated. It offers the joy of teamwork, the pride of accomplishment, and the comfort of belonging.”
To round out these contributions, our foundation also awarded donations to non-profits to honor: Julie Kaczmarek, Sarah Kealy (Retiree), Megan Everts, Lynn Jarvis and Diane Rodrian.
Together, these gifts reflect the generosity, compassion, and community spirit of the Robertson Ryan team. We are proud to support the causes that matter most to our people and the communities they serve.
