Account Executive

Mitch Whitmore is an Account Executive with Robertson Ryan Insurance, bringing a unique blend of elite athletic experience and hands-on agency expertise to his role. Before entering the insurance industry, Mitch spent most of his life as a competitive speed skater, earning World Cup medals, competing in three Olympic Games, and holding the U.S. National Record in the 500 meters for eight years. His athletic career instilled a strong work ethic, discipline, and resilience that continue to shape his professional approach today.

Mitch began his career at Robertson Ryan as an Operations Intern, where he gained exposure to multiple departments across the agency. He progressed into an Operations Associate role before advancing to his current position as an Account Executive. This well-rounded experience allows him to understand both the operational and strategic aspects of risk management.

He enjoys learning about the wide variety of businesses he works with, the unique risks they face, and how to best protect them through thoughtful, tailored insurance solutions. Known for his curiosity and client-focused mindset, Mitch is committed to helping clients feel confident in their coverage.

Outside of work, Mitch stays active by playing hockey, biking, and embracing all things outdoors and fitness-related. He also enjoys spending time with his two cats and dog. He lives by the philosophy: “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you’re right.”
