In an effort to help identify worksites and workers in high risk of exposure to coronavirus (COVID-19), OSHA has broken down the risk exposures to different classes of workers, from highest to lowest to help employers self-assess their risk to determine proper action/precautions. For those businesses shut down, this will help employers understand which category their employees fall into and suggest steps to prepare their workplaces before opening back up. In addition to helping identify the worker’s risk, OSHA also offers steps to control and prevent the spread of virus in in each of these areas in the workplace. Read more about OSHA control and prevention here.
